Dr. Nicola Mercer, CEO and Medical Officer of Health for Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph is looking to keep the regions vaccine rate going.
Dr. Mercer believes its possible to have Wellington County and Guelph fully vaccinated by early August with everyone being able to get their 2nd dose.
She is urging all residents who have not yet booked an appointment to do so. The current vaccine rate for the health unit is over 75% of those with one dose and under 25% being fully vaccinated.
Anyone who received their first dose of Pfizer or Moderna on or before May 30th is eligible to book their 2nd shot.
