The Palmerston Legion Catch the Ace Committee has announced five local recipients of nearly $35,000 in funds raised to donate in its latest round of Catch the Ace draws.
Members of the Catch the Ace Committee presented cheques to 5 different groups with a total of $34,500 donated.
The Palmerston and District Hospital Foundation received $14,000, Minto Mental Health with $10,000, All Aboard Palmerston’s Beautification Committee received $5,500, Norwell District Secondary School with $2,500 and Palmerston Public School received $2,500.
Funds donated will see various uses such as the hospital foundation being able to purchase medical equipment and the Norwell Secondary School putting their donation towards the “Families in Need” fund to provide grocery store gift cards to those in need.
Tickets are still on sale for the April 9th Catch the Ace draw at the Palmerston Legion.
