Two streets in Listowel are expected to get their names at council tonight, ones remembering two nurses who fully equipped and furnished the first hospital in town back in 1910.

Two open road allowances in Listowel between Wallace Avenue North and Argyle Avenue North were found to have not been assigned officials names.

Council will discuss the idea of giving these names, after Miss Tolton and Miss Schneider who helped open the first hospital in Listowel at 445 Wallace Avenue North in March 1910.

The proposal for these new streets are Tolton Lane and Schneider Lane.
