Heading into the long weekend 8 beaches have been listed as above the advisable swimming limit of bacteria.
Samples collected showed Amberley Beach, Ashfield Township Park, Port Albert, Goderich Main, Rotary Cove, St Josephs, Haytownship Park and Port Blake are over the limit of bacteria.
Resamples will be done today with results expected later in the day.
