The Middle Maitland Rejuvenation Committee alongside volunteers took part in cleaning up the river.
In total throughout the day, 772lbs of waste was pulled from the river and the banks.
Volunteers gathered in Listowel and pulled off a successful clean.
Over the last few weeks, various committees and conservation authorities have rallied to clean up rivers and banks, for some it’s the first in over two years as clean ups were pushed back due to the pandemic.
