Huron County OPP have charged a driver for being over the legal limit following an incident in Wingham.
On December 4th just after midnight two officers were parked at the fire hall in Wingham when they observed a male driving a mini dirt bike northbound on Josephine Street.
The officers observed him lose control of the dirt bike to the point he laid it down and skidded on the pavement.
Officers intercepted the driver before he got back on the bike. The investigating officer detected the odour of alcohol and a roadside test was administered. This resulted in a fail.
A 32 year old male from Wingham has been charged with operating while impaired blood alcohol 80 plus.
He has since been released with a court appearance scheduled for January 18th in Goderich.
