The outbreak at London’s University Hospital has grown to now encompass over 130 positive cases of Covid-19. As of this morning 133 cases including 72 patients and 61 staff and health-care providers were linked to the London Health Science Centre location. 13 deaths have additionally been associated with the outbreaks.
LHSC says it’s important to note that not all the cases identified are through hospital acquired transmission. They say that it is circulating in the community and are undertaking enhances surveillance testing to identify cases in both staff and patients who may be asymptomatic.
