Wellington North is going to see 2 local businesses on the receiving end of Community Improvements grants worth a total of just over $3000 after council approved them at a meeting in December.

On December 14th they approved a $2500 building improvement grant to Wellington Produce Packaging in Mount Forest and a grant to improve the façade to Arthur Chiropractic with $525.

The report states that Wellington Produce Packaging, formerly Wellington Wood Products, will add six docks to the west side of their building, one entrance bay door and one man-door.

Total cost of the improvements are estimated at $30,000 and the company is utilizing the $2500 building improvement grand.

Dr. Seak Lisk, owner of Arthur Chriropractic, will use his funding to assist with new signage at their relocated business at 124B George Street in Arthur.

Council had budgeted $75,000 in funding in support of the 2020 applications to the Community Improvement Program.

Year to date the Township has received 36 applications with council approving over $79,000 in funding  including $10,000 approved for projects not yet completed this year which will carry over to next year’s allocation.
