The 1st Palmerston Scouts are now looking for youth to join their troops with a variety of age groups welcome to join.
The various groups include Beavers aged 5-7, Cubs aged 8-10 and Scouts for 11-14.
Palmerston Scouts were able to organize last year with adjustments but organizers, like Kelly Stanners, Contact Scouter for the Beaver and Cubs for 1st Palmerston Scouts who says she is looking forward to being back in person this year.
“Meet in person with kids and really getting them involved again and getting them excited about camps and hiking and just learning about how to do all these different activities.” said Stanners.
Adults to volunteer their time as Scouters are also being accepted, Group Commissioner and Troop Scouter for 1st Palmerston Scouts Dan Belair says its great to be a part of the group and the scouts grow as a team.
“It’s rewarding to see these kids grow. I have with me, my scout troop a Scouter who was one of my scouts 30 somewhat years ago.” said Belair.
