Your Taxes are Due Soon

Self employed taxes not due until June 15th

A reminder, your taxes are done soon.

For most Canadians, the deadline to file and pay 2020 income tax is April 30th.

The government made an extension last year for taxes due to the pandemic but did not offer an extension this year.

The CRA is offering two options for those looking to claim work from home expenses. The first option to claim $2 per day to a maximum of $400 for those who worked more than 50 percent of four consecutive weeks.

The 2nd option to claim a detailed list of home expenses such as hydro, internet and stationary as well as a signed form from your employer.

Those who are self employed have until June 15th.
