Xplornet Communications is proposing a new telecommunications tower on 6949 Wellington Road 7 just south of Alma.
Xplornet says the new tower will provide affordable and quality high speed internet and home phone services to Alma and the surrounding community.
The company adds the current quality of such service in the area is not to par to the needs of the community and they wish to serve them better.
Centre Wellington council says there have been no objections to the proposal within the 30 days notice and are expected to give final approval later Monday.
