On Thursday at around 1:03pm, the Walkerton Fire Department responded to a blaze in town on John Street.
Fire crews were joined alongside fellow fire stations in Hanover and Mildmay as well as Bruce County EMS, OPP and Westario Power.
Officials say with the help of working smoke alarms, those inside the building led to a quick and advanced evacuation.
No injuries were reported in the blaze.
