Wellington County is reminding residents of the Women in Skilled Trades program available to them.
The program is aimed around carpentry and residential installations pre-apprenticeship and is a free 33 week program to help women gain skills and led them to employment.
The program is funded by the province and is restricted to applicants under a criteria including low income women, residents of Ontario with a grade 12 diploma or equivalent and be available to attend a program full time on campus.
Applicants must attend an in person information session being held at the Conestoga College’s Skilled Trades Campus with sessions being on March 18th and 31st as well as April 14th, 19th and May 13th.
