Wingham OPP continue to wait on any progress of getting a new satellite office in the Wingham area.
An office space on Josephine Street became available earlier and was donated by the building landlord. However Reeve for North Huron Bernie Bailey said the space does not meet requirements for the OPP.
While the Township of North Huron is no longer involved in the search for a new OPP office but do remain in regular contact to see how progress is going.
Bailey says its important for OPP to have an office setup in Wingham, Morris-Turnberry or Howick to provide police service within the area.
