Wingham Foodland took a unique turn when it came to selling their Christmas trees.
$3 from every tree sold would go directly to the Wingham Legion Branch 180 and they quickly sold 116 trees, completing selling out two weeks before Christmas Day. On top of tree sales, some residents opting to just donate without buying a tree. A total of $363 was donated to the legion.
Legion president, Tim Poole says Foodlands donation and community drive is greatly appreciated as they, like all other legion branches have been unable to host regular events or rent out their facility due to the pandemic.
