The Wingham Hospital Emergency room is set to face a temporary closure this Saturday, May 13th at 5pm until Sunday, May 14th at 7 am.
The Listowel Wingham Hospital Alliance says the closure is a last resort due to staffing shortages and they regret taking this action.
Ambulances will bypass the hospital during the closure period and travel to the nearest open ER.
All local healthcare providers will be informed of the closure.
