Wingham Emergency Department set to close this Weekend due to Staff Shortages

The Listowel Wingham Hospital Alliance announced further emergency department closures as a result of ongoing healthcare staff shortages.

Impacted locally is the Wingham & District Hospital which will see it’s Emergency Department closed from this Saturday, August 6^th at 5 pm and reopen on Sunday, August 7^th at 7am.

Patients in the area are asked to call 911 if they have a medical emergency.

EMS will reroute residents to surrounding hospitals during the closure.
