While it typically happens every year, the Listowel BIA did not go forward with the Win This Space program.
The main reason for not proceeding was due to the lack of available space as many new businesses have been welcomed and thrived over the last year, making use of the available space at the time.
The Listowel BIA is looking to reallocate the funds used from Win This Space towards a public art project.
Kim Kowch says while unfortunate to not have the program, its at least a good thing to have.
“It’s a good problem to have but its difficult to have a Win This Space program when there isn’t adequate space available.” said Kowch.
The North Perth Economic Development Advisory Committee approved to have $2000 be allocated from Win This Space to a public art project within North Perth.
