41- year old West Perth Resident was charged with multiple counts of impaired driving on June 8 at around 5:30 pm.
Perth County OPP responded to the report of a suspicious person, to later locate an individual under the influence operating an electric scooter on Quebec Street, in Mitchell.
The individual was charged with; Operation while impaired (80 plus), along with Operation while Prohibited – Legal Restriction from any other Act of Parliament or Provincial Law.
The OPP officers also became aware that the 41 year old was prohibited from operating a motor vehicle at this time.
The driver was arrested and transported to a local detachment for further testing.
A 90-day Administrative Drivers License Suspension along with a seven-day vehicle impoundment has been initiated.
The 41 year old is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at an upcoming date to respond to the charges.
