West Grey Firefighters were recently honoured at the Durham Fire Station celebrating the commitment from individuals who contributed years of service to the community.
Exemplary Service Medal Awards were presented to firefighters with 20 years of exemplary service.
Other firefighters were also honoured with the Fire Services Ling Service Medal being given for those with 25 years of long service with Service Bars being given at 5 year increments.
In a release, the municipality says their selfless dedication and tireless commitment to the fire service and community has been instrumental in ensuring the safety and well being of residents.
