Wellington County OPP was called to the scene of a serious collision on Highway 6, south of Mount Forest on Monday afternoon around 1pm.
Initial reports indicated two SUV’s had collided and both drivers had serious injuries.
OPP and emergency services responded and took a 48-year-old female from Mount Forest to local hospital, but she was pronounced deceased. A 46-year old man also from Mount Forest was airlifted to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
The roadway between Sideroad 5 and Sideroad 3 remained closed into the night while a reconstructionist with the West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team unit investigated.
