The Wellington County OPP has identified human remains located north of Guelph in Guelph-Eramosa Township.
Analysis by the Ontario Forensic Pathology Services has determined that remains located in a wooded area, just off Wellington Road 30 on April 21st are that of a 57 year old female of Cambridge.
She was reported missing to the Waterloo Regional Police Service nearly 10 years ago on July 15th, 2011.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Wellington OPP Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Services under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch assisted by the Office of the Chief Coroner and OFPS.
Investigators believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.
