Wellington OPP charge 35 year old Fergus Resident with Damaging Election Signs in Fergus

Officers observed the incident at 2:30 am on May 9th and during the course of the arrest one officer was assaulted.

 

Wellington County OPP charged a 35-year-old male Fergus resident with damaging election signs after observing him on Tower Street South in Fergus.

Officers observed the incident at 2:30 am on May 9th and during the course of the arrest one officer was assaulted.

The accused has been charged with removal and damage of posted election documents, causing a disturbance, assault with intent to resist, theft under $5,000, and two counts of mischief.

They are set to appear at a Guelph court at a later date.
