Reports of growth of the population in Wellington County has Wellington North looking ahead to plan for the population increase.
Officials spoke at a public meeting which saw around 70 developers, realtors, business and health care stakeholders alongside residents.
Over the next three decades its expected Wellington North could see a boost of 8000 people with an average of 80-90 new residential builds per year.
CAO Mike Givens says some measures have already been taken which includes investing in Arthur’s wastewater treatment plant.
Mayor Andy Lennox says they knew growth was coming but they were not imagining the kind of pace they’re faced with right now.
