Wellington North council has hosted its first Recognition of Outstanding Achievement in Sports on Tuesday in the council chambers.
The Arthur Vipers U9, Vipers U11, Wellington North Ice Ninjas and Heather Wollis were all recognized for their accomplishments during their seasons.
The Vipers U9 team went undefeated their entire season, the U11 squad won the Western Ontario Athletic Association Elite Series Championship, the Ice Ninjas posted a strong season of 16-1-2 with Heather Wollis being part of the Lady Legends slo pitch team who won the NSA Provincial Ladies Championship with Heather being a key member of the team.
