Wellington North council will be focusing on public education for residents due to concerns around coyotes near livestock and populated areas.
Council agreed earlier this week to monitor discussions on the coyote issue from the Wellington Federation of Agriculture before they consider further action.
Some residents have expressed their concerns of coyotes coming close to their outbuildings and on a frozen pond.
