Wellington North has marked its 25th anniversary with a big community event on June 7th.
Held at the municipal office in Kenilworth the event included a free barbecue, kids activities, a display of the 25th Anniversary Art Contest, slideshow of photos from the past 25 years and the 25th anniversary time capsule.
The township welcomed more than 200 past and present residents at the anniversary.
Wellington North Mayor Andy Lennox says it was great to see many familiar faces come together and celebrate this milestone with former staff and members of council, friends, family and neighbours.
