Wellington North has instructed Township staff to start removing the ice from rinks in both Mount Forest and Arthur.
The decision came from Council on February 8th.
The removal is seen to save the Municipality $5600 which is the cost to keep the rinks up and running until the date they were originally intended to close.
On the plus side Council is now discussing moving up renovations to the two facilities that council had already budgeted for.
