Students and staff at Wellington Heights Secondary School in Mount Forest have transplanted 80 red pine trees along school property.
A project which was two years in the making saw the trees be planted on October 20th.
Many trees were tagged by students with them to monitor the growth of the trees over the course of their time at Wellington Heights.
Grade 9 science and geography students took part in the project.
Transplanting the trees also gave student the opportunity to learn about transplanting trees and develop appreciation for the natural environment.
