The Province has informed the Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health Unit that the region will spend another week in the Red level of Covid-19 protection framework.

The health unit wasn’t named in the list of 7 that would be moving to a different level of the framework next week.

This sets the earliest timeframe for a change to March 15th.

The announcement of changes today was made after the Province consulted with all local Medical Officials of Health and are based on the latest trends in cases for public health indicators.

The levels for active cases and those newly diagnosed had been dropping for the past 6 weeks following the beginning of the lockdown but had seen an increase this week.
