The Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Health Unith has unveiled their plan to administer up to 10,000 Covid-19 vaccines per day and have 75 percent of the population (16 and above) vaccinated by early August.
A press release from the Public Health unit calls the plan “robust” and was endorsed by the Province’s Covid-19 Distribution Task Force on February 10th.
Officials are ready to roll out the program as soon as additional vaccine doses become available.
As of yesterday Wellington-Dufferin-Health has put 6900 first doses into arms and 3600 second doses into arms of residents with a combination of both the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines for a total of 10,510 doses.
