Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health announced they can begin to administer vaccines to individuals within 24 hours of receiving the vaccine from the province.
In a release medical officer of health and CEO Dr. Nicola Mercer said they have been preparing for the vaccine since July and is one of the biggest projects public health is set to carry out.
WDG has the capacity to store 100,000 doses of the vaccine and preparations are in the works to ensure everyone in the region who wants to get vaccinated will be able to when it is their turn. Its not known when WDG will get the vaccine, the rollout is being delivered to regions where cases are high.
