There was a total of 104 employees with the County and their lower municipalities that made the ‘Sunshine List’ this year up from 74 the year before.

On March 19th the Ontario Government released the 2020 Public Sector Salary Disclosure list unofficially known as the Sunshine List.

The top employees in Wellington County were:

    • Dr. Nicola Mercer, Wellington-Dufferin-Health CEO and Chief Medical Officer. Paid $307,891 (down $4819 from 2019)
    • Scott Wilson, Wellington County Chief Administrative Officer $272,480 (up $4812 from 2019)

56 at the County level (up from 44) with the CAO being the highest.

  • 4 From Wellington North (up from 2) with CAO Mike Givens at $149,518
  • 3 From Puslinch (up from 2) including CAO Glenn Schwendinger at $150,731
  • 5 from Minto (up from 2) with CAO Derrick Thomson at $157,038
  • 5 from Mapleton (up from 4) including CAO Manny Baron at $158,052
  • 7 from Guelph-Eramosa (up from 4) with CAO Ian roger making $165,764
  • 4 from Erin (up from 2) with CAO Nathan Hyde making $162,995
  • 20 from Centre Wellington (up from 14) with CAO Andy Goldie at the top at $198,147

Wellington-Halton Hill MPP Ted Arnott, also Speaker of the House, is making $152,913

Perth-Wellington MPP Randy Pettapiece earned $146,538 last year
