Wellington County State of Emergency to Lift March 1st

Warden Linton says its time to return to normal

Following consultation with the Medical Officer of Health for Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph, Wellington County will be lifting its State of Emergency on March 1st.

The declaration allowed Warden Kelly Linton to take actions and make order believed to be necessary to protect the health, safety and welfare of residents.

The State of Emergency also gave authority to the County’s CAO, Scott Wilson to redeploy staff to assist at Wellington Terrace Long Term Care Home and at COVID-19 vaccine clinics.

Warden Linton saying in a release, after 2 years of the pandemic it is time to start returning to normal life.
