Wellington County Safety and Well-Beng Plan Complete

Primary issues looking into mental health, vehicle collisions to reducing senior falls

After 3 years of development the Wellington County Community Safety and Well-being Plan is complete.

The plan was made through the Safe Communities Wellington County leadership table alongside Wellington County OPP.

The province has mandated the creation of community safety plans for each municipality in Ontario. In a release, the Safe Communities Wellington County thanks the public and organizations who helped participate in the creation of the safety plan.

Some primary issues identified in the plan include reducing motor vehicle collisions, reducing falls in the older population and providing better mental health support in the county.
