Car thefts continue to rise across Wellington County.
A report from local OPP shows so far 55 vehicles have been reported stolen this year.
The number is expected to continue to soar as last year’s number showed 103 vehicles stolen with 104 in 2020.
OPP continue to urge residents to take precautions such as leaving valuable out of sight, lock their vehicles and to not leave their keys inside their vehicle.
In a report, 34 motor vehicles, 14 automobiles, four trucks, two snow vehicles and one construction vehicle have been stolen.
