Wellington County OPP responded to 18 fatal collisions last year, an increase from 11 in 2022.
A report of OPP’s year end report says while they responded to less calls last year, the overall call for service was higher than expected at 11 per cent last year.
Police also expect this to continue for 2024.
Wellington County saw a 195 per cent increase in traffic occurrences which include motor vehicle conditions enforcement activities in 2023.
