Wellington County OPP recover stolen motorcycle in Fergus

Motorcycle had a license plate on it stolen from Waterloo Region

Wellington County OPP have recovered a stolen motorcycle in Fergus.

On December 8th at approximately 2:05pm the police commenced an investigation to a motorcycle that was parked at an address on St David Street North in Fergus.

The motorcycle which appeared to be freshly painted with household paint was bearing a license plate that was reported stolen out of Waterloo Region.

Further investigation revealed the motorcycle itself was also stolen.

During the investigation an individual approached the officers and identified themselves as the owner of the bike at which time they were placed under arrest.

A 36 year old resident of Guelph has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime.

The accused will appear in a Guelph courtroom January 15th to answer to the charge.
