Wellington County OPP have arrested a suspect after multiple armed carjackings.
On April 2nd, Wellington County OPP received a report of a robbery on Marden Road near Highway 6 just north of Guelph. The suspect had flagged a motorist down with a weapon and forced the driver out of the vehicle. The suspect fled on highway 6, colliding with another vehicle but did not stop at the scene of accident.
The suspect then entered a home and demanded car keys from the homeowners but did not comply. The suspect then fled the home and tried to carjack another vehicle before police arrived and arrested the man.
A 42 year old with no fixed address faces a slew of charges including two counts of robbery.
Attempted robbery and dangerous driving. The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
