Wellington County farmers are encouraged to join the Experimental Acres Pilot with the goal to backstop any risk, develop a community support and assists in capturing the businesses cases which can demonstrate worth repeating.
The pilot say 15 farmers join in the spring which encourages regenerative agriculture practices on a small scale, offer monetary and educational support as well as join a group of social support to help producers adopt regenerative agriculture practices.
Funding is available for pilot hosts as well with soil testing and access to various community building events.
