Wellington County could be facing down a 4.6 per cent tax levy increase as part of the 2024 budget.
Staff have made the current recommendation which has dropped slowly from the previous 4.8 per cent with the help of funding from the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care fund and an updated POA revenue forecast from Guelph.
Other ideas to increase revenue includes the raising of bagged waste fees by 50 cents in July.
A 4.7 levy could be anticipated for 2025 with a 3.8 per cent increase in 2026.
