The way Wellington County Residents used their Public Libraries last year has changed but in other ways it stayed the same.

Curbside pickup of loaned items has become the norm. Locations have been closed for a prolonged period of time and circulation of items is down.

But there is still demand being seem and the staff at the locations through the County have worked hard to meet the new ways people use the library.

Patrons can now connect with staff by phone, online, let the staff know what they would like and the staff gets it ready and also alternate selections that might be of the same type.

The things people are borrowing is still consistent than before the pandemic. The only item on the decline is DVD movies. This is likely due to the choices not being expanded.

Adult fiction is the number one type of item borrowed from the library, followed by non-fiction, picture books, tv shows then DVDs. DVDs was number 2 in the past.
