Wellington County announced that to celebrate the area seeing its 3 millionth tree planted as part of the Green Legacy Program they would be launching a photo contest.
The Green Legacy Program started back in 2004 with a goal of 150,000 trees planted to celebrate the then 150th Anniversary of the County.
The County thanks its community partners for making it possible and making it the largest municipal tree planting program in North America.
The details of the Photo Contest they say are coming soon. They will be looking for people to show off their planting and photos kills and maybe even win a fun prize.
