Wellington County council has approved new business recovery grants with applications beginning next week.
Three grants were passed for all businesses in the county. Those eligible can apply up to $2000 between the grants.
The business safety supply and PPE grant provides $1000 for PPE, disinfectants, hand sanitizer and measures for physical distancing.
The physical adaptation and technology grant is meant to support physical and technology measures to support safe practices. This includes patios, pick up windows, outdoor heating, touchless pay and online reservation.
The business services support grant is to help with website development, design services and access to computer program subscriptions. The grant is a maximum of $1000.
Minto Mayor George Bridge says the grants will greatly help businesses struggling and hope to go further with more funding and will discuss it at a later date.
