Wellington County residents, and all of the Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health Region, received some good news Friday. The Public Health unit had originally issued a press release saying they would remain in Red before the Province made their announcement.
The Region was announced, as well as 7 other, into other levels of the Covid-19 framework effective Monday at 12:01am.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Nicola Mercer has previously stated that the data with the most significant impact on Provincial Alert levels are cases per 100,000 where Wellington County sits at 32.4 locally. Test positivity rate as well is a key indicator where they sit at 1.4% which would indicate Orange.
