The Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for Ontario is proposing a new electoral map for consideration at public hearings this fall.

The map introduces changes to the district boundaries and is being done to correct wide variations in voter equality that has emerged across the province over the past decade due to population changes.

In terms of Perth-Wellington the changes would see Walkerton become a part of the Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound riding, Huron-Bruce would be renamed South Huron Shores and Markdale would join the Collingwood-Blue Mountain Riding.

There are upcoming public hearings on the proposal both virtual on Tuesday, September 27th and in-person in London on Monday, October 24th. Both sessions at 6:30 pm.
