The Victorian Order of Nurses Wellington, Waterloo and Dufferin Branch announced on their social media today a generous donation from the Cancer Patient Services Committee of Mount Forest.
The donation came in the form of 2 upright freezers that will be used by the Meals on Wheels Program. They will be used in the Mount Forest location and will house some of the service’s frozen meal inventory that is sent out to seniors in the area 65 years and older living with a physical disability.
VON says that often clients have come to Meals on Wheels after receiving recent cancer diagnoses, receiving treatment, living with cancer or currently in remission.
