Violent crime was on the rise this summer in Stratford according to police.
During a police service board meeting Chief Greg Skinner says there was an increase is robberies and sexual assaults as well as a homicide and attempted homicide.
Perth South was clean for assaults over the summer with one sexual offence.
Stratford saw 14 assaults in June, 8 in July and 11 in August while St Marys saw 4 assaults in June, 3 in July and 4 in August.
Skinner also made note the increase of shoplifting which he adds likely is being contributed to inflation.
