A wildfire has caused a total evacuation of the village of Lytton, BC as fires destroy the village.
Following record breaking temperatures in Western Canada this week, the village was completely engulfed in flames. Mayor of Lytton, Jan Polderman signed the order for evacuation Wednesday night.
The village, just 260 kilometers northeast of Vancouver was covered in flames on every street, home and business causing an almost total loss.
Reports of the hospital, fire station and most of main street are completely destroyed. Residents only left their home with what they could carry.
