There continues to be more discussion brewing at having veteran crosswalks in both Arthur and Mount Forest for Wellington North.
Councilor Steve McCabe had sparked the interest with staff then looking at the feasibility of painting the crosswalks to honour those who have served in Canada’s Armed Forces.
McCabe says in conversation with the local Legions, they’ve eyed where to place these crosswalks.
“In Arthur the location would be Arthur Cash and Carry to heading south to the Cenotaph, that crosswalk, it would be parallel to Highway 6. Mount Forest it would also be parallel to Highway 6 but on King Street on the Mount Forest Legion road.” said McCabe.
Council continues to be in great favour of these crosswalks and making them a reality in Wellington North.
